Leslie Bartow has been selected as the school’s new Green Unit principal at Henderson County High School.
Bartow has 20 years of experience in education, all with Henderson County Schools, and has spent the past seven years as the assistant principal at Spottsville Elementary School, according to an HCHS post.
Bartow began with HCS in 2005, first serving as a substitute teacher in the district. In 2008, she began teaching at North Middle School and for six years, she worked as an eighth-grade teacher. After that, she served as an instructional coach at East Heights Elementary School for four years before transitioning into administration at Spottsville, said the post.
Bartow is married to her husband, Ben, and they are the parents of two adult sons and one granddaughter.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Bartow to the Colonel family in this new capacity,” said HCHS Principal Christian Klaas. “Her background as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal, combined with her deep-rooted commitment to Henderson County students, makes her the perfect fit to lead the Green Unit.”
Bartow’s broad experience from elementary to middle school, coupled with her instructional expertise, positions her perfectly to support HCHS students as they navigate their crucial high school years and prepare for the future, said the post.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff, and families of our high school,” Bartow said.
