Jack Dalton | Football | Athlete of the Week for week ending Oct. 11

Henderson County football’s Jack Dalton could not be stopped in Friday night’s 67-29 win over Christian County. He used his speed to run for three touchdowns and used his arm to pass for another in the junior’s first look at quarterback since last season.

Dalton ran for 107 yards on only 8 carries, averaging over 13 yards per carry. He was very effective in the backfield, consistently making quality reads. Dalton at QB will be a useful wrinkle for the Colonels as they inch towards the playoffs.

Dalton on his performance: “I’m truly honored to be selected as athlete of the week, and thank you to everyone who nominated me. This week was a big week for our team as it was our first district game against Christian County. I’m glad I was able to contribute offensively to the team’s win. Thank you to my teammates for great blocks, and to my coaches for giving me opportunities to score. Hopefully, we can keep this momentum rolling as we finish district play and end the season on a high note.”
