Public Service Announcement: City will begin milling and paving Oct. 13

The city of Henderson will begin milling streets on October 13 and continue for at least five days, weather permitting, in preparation for patching, paving and repair projects.

Paving will begin approximately October 16 and continue for five days, weather permitting.

Temporary closures and/or delays may occur during construction. It may be best to avoid these streets where possible. 

Residents are asked to have all vehicles moved from the street by 6 a.m. each day until the work is completed.

Here is a list of public streets/areas on the work list:

  • Canoe Creek Drive from South Green Street to Kayak Way
  • Elk Avenue from North Elm Street to North Green Street
  • Glengary Way from Bannockburn Drive to end of pavement
  • Green River Road from Watson Lane to Osage Drive
  • North Elm Street from Long John Silvers to HI-Y Drive
  • North Elm Street from Barker Road to Watson Lane
  • Old Corydon Road from U.S. 60-West to end of pavement
  • Sunset Lane from Watson Lane to City Limits
  • Osage Drive from Green River Road to Briarcliff Trail
  • Fernwood Cemetery Roads
  • The Gathering Place Lot
  • The Denton Shelter Lot & Side Road
