The Fallen Trooper Mack Brady Memorial 5K will be Oct. 17 with a starting point of Central Park.
The run/walk begins at 8 a.m.
All proceeds go to benefit Trooper Island.

“This is a memorial 5k run/walk to honor fallen Trooper Mack Brady who died in the line of duty on 11/9/66 in Henderson, Kentucky. All proceeds from the race will go to benefit Trooper Island Camp which help underprivileged children experience a week of fun at Trooper Island located on Dale Hollow Lake. Children experience swimming, hiking, kayaking, archery, marksmanship, sports and fun for the entire week with all expenses paid for through donations to the island. Children also learn valuable leadership and social skills during their stay. Help make a lasting lifetime experience for children who otherwise would not likely get to experience a week of fun, leadership, adventure and life skills.”
