Lions Club names scholarship winners
The Henderson Lions Club have announced the recipients of 13 scholarships totaling $19,500 that the club will award.
Each recipient will receive $1,500 scholarship. They are:

• Gabrielle Melvin (Moran Family Scholarship)
• Nate Gold (Stinnett Family Scholarship)
• Aubrielle Woolfolk
• Taylor Womack
• Carson Troxell
• Reese Todd
• Cadyn Conrad
• Jack Logan
• Baylee Womack
• Emma Rutledge
• Kamryn Trout
The scholarship winners will be recognized at the club’s June 30 meeting.
Henderson Tourist Commission Opens FY27 Tourism Grant Applications
The Henderson Tourist Commission is now accepting applications for its FY27 Tourism Grant Program, which, according to the tourist commission, supports festivals, events, and projects that enhance Henderson’s appeal as a destination and contribute to the local visitor economy.
The grant program is designed to assist organizations whose efforts encourage visitation, generate overnight stays, and showcase the people, places and experiences that make Henderson unique.
Eligible organizations are invited to submit applications for projects taking place from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026. The application and program guidelines can be found here.
