A Henderson man was charged Wednesday with two counts of attempted murder arising from an argument over a fishing rod.

The Henderson Police Department said in a social media post that Nathan Spainhoward, 42, was involved in an “incident that allegedly began as a dispute over a fishing pole.”

Police said that Spainhoward used a pickup truck in a manner that endangered multiple individuals.

One adult was struck by the truck and was later assaulted, HPD said.

Additionally, a juvenile was hit by the vehicle during the incident, police said.

Spainhoward is currently being held in the Henderson County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.

He was also charged with third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor and first-degree assault—domestic violence.
